■ NEPAL, HIMALAYA: With Snickers, Chow Mein and Gongo aboard, I was ready to once again soldier up the Himalayan mountainside. But for how long? And to where? I had no real end goal in sight. If I found a nice lodge I'd simply set up shop for the night. If not, I'd just keep hiking up. And hike I did as the hours flew by. As I kept climbing, the scenery kept changing fueling my thirst for further exploration. The spectacular Himalayan Lord of the Ringsesque forests, rivers, cliffs, wild deers and ruins of old abandoned settlements had me so intrigued, I wanted to see what's around the next corner, regardless of how much my legs told me they wanted no further part in this trek. Already at 7:00AM, just two hours after leaving Bamboo Lodge, I had been so exhausted, thoughts of setting up shop at the first lodge possible had started creeping in. Somehow I had kept going. But now as the clock turned to 04:30PM, after nearly 12 hours of hiking uphill, fatigue started getting the better of me ..... ■ LIKES NEWS: I truly appreciate everyone who help me out by liking the videos you watch on my channel. Discovering Tibetan Nepal: Manaslu Circuit Trekking, Nepal Himalaya

21 days of relaxing hiking on the Manaslu Circuit, through the Nepal Himalayas, close to Tibet and Annapurna. Join my friend Hung and I on our trek through narrow valleys, along rushing rivers, and over majestic mountains. Rest with us at a Tibetan monastery, go hiking with dogs, goats, yaks, and donkeys, and experience authentic Tibetan and Nepalese life. Trek was in December 2021. - How to hike the Manaslu Circuit: 🤍 Follow me on: 🤍 Gear list: 🤍 - Prayer flags sending wishes in the wind with every thread, sunsets setting fire to the mountains, cheery nuns cooking nourishing treats over a crackling fire, energetic monks playing football over a cliff, loyal dogs guiding lost trekkers along the trail, squeaky prayer wheels spinning endlessly, furry yaks eying strange non-furry humans curiously from afar, swaying bridges hanging high above rushing teal-colored rivers, weary donkeys hauling heavy supplies, shoes sinking abruptly into the snow, majestic mountain goats strutting across the field, milk tea melting treacherously frozen lakes, all powered by Dal Bhat 😋 There were countless little beautiful moments on this trip. We went during the off-season, which primarily meant cold and snow. But it also meant empty tea houses and every opportunity to sit in the kitchens while the tea house owners cooked us dinner, and made a roaring fire with equally warming conversation (most of which we couldn’t understand as it was in Tibetan 😄). - 0:00:00 - Intro 0:01:00 - Day 0: Transportation to Sotikhola 0:01:45 - Day 1: Sotikhola to Machhakhola (14km / 440m) 0:03:02 - Day 2: Machhakhola to Jagat (17km / 760m) 0:07:11 - Day 3: Jagat to Deng (20km / 1000m) 0:10:27 - Day 4: Deng to Syarang Gumba Monastery (18km / 1900m) 0:13:36 - Day 5-8: Rest at Syarang Gumba Monastery 0:18:07 - Day 9: Syarang Gumba Monastery to Prok (13km / 1400m) 0:20:28 - Day 10: Prok to Lhi (13km / 800m) 0:23:40 - Day 11: Lhi to Shyala (9km / 640m) 0:27:01 - Day 12: Shylya to Samagaon (4km / 69m) 0:29:16 - Day 13-14: Rest at Samagaon, Birendra Lake, and Manaslu Base Camp (10km / 1300m) 0:33:32 - Day 15: Samagaon to Samdo (8km / 350m) 0:33:55 - Day 16: Samdo to Larka Pass Viewpoint to Samdo (22km / 2000m) 0:36:42 - Day 17-21: Return from Samdo to Sotikhola (102km / 4200m) - Ethereal Relaxation by Kevin MacLeod Link: 🤍 License: 🤍 Artifact by Kevin MacLeod Link: 🤍 License: 🤍 Gymnopedie No. 1 by Kevin MacLeod Link: 🤍 License: 🤍 Touching Moments Two - Higher by Kevin MacLeod Link: 🤍 License: 🤍 Ambiant Relax Sounds - Zakhar Valaha Music Link: 🤍 License: 🤍 - #nepal #hiking #manaslu

■ NEPAL, HIMALAYA: At 4:45AM my alarm kicked off and 20 minutes later I was on my way up the Himalayas in total darkness. Bears, snow leopards, blackface Trudeau monkeys and a host of other potentially dangerous wild animals roam these lands but with the exception of the bears, whom are in hibernation at this time a year, the others are not to fond of people and should pose no problem what so ever as long as I don't venture far of course into the wilderness. In total darkness, only seeing whatever my headlight pointed at... I kept trekking uphill for what was going to be the greatest endurance and strength test of my entire life. ■ LIKES NEWS: I truly appreciate everyone who helped me make the previous video the most liked video I put out in 2021. The scenery is spectacular, and ever changing. Lush green rice fields, forests and waterfalls are abundant on the first couple of days, followed by snowy mountain views and the starkly beautiful Larke La Pass. Annapurna Circuit trek in central Nepal climbs to an altitude of 5,400m through Thorung La pass, one of the highest trekking passes in the world, below peaks that rise 6000-8000m in elevation from the Annapurna Range. We attempted to complete the trek in about 15 days starting mid-December of 2013, when the shoulder season promised much smaller crowds but with it a risk of deep snow that early winter can bring to the Pass. “K2 is a savage mountain that tries to kill you.” That is how climber George Bell described the infamous peak after the first American expedition in 1953–forever giving the mountain its nickname–The Savage Mountain. Sixty-six years later, Eddie Bauer mountain guides Adrian Ballinger and Carla Perez aim to summit the 8611-meter peak and join a community of explorers fewer in number than those who have been to outer space. Even more incredible, they both will attempt the feat without the use of supplemental oxygen. Every step of the way the team faces hazardous conditions, terrifying setbacks, and crushing misfortunes. But as Ballinger puts it, “I'll go until the mountain tells me I can’t go anymore.”

Movie from a trek in Nepal's Upper Mustang area with a selection of landscape, trekking and culture scenes, with some timelapses added as well. It starts with a flight from Pokhara to Jomosom, and from there via Kagbeni and Tsarang to Lo Manthang where we stay for a few days to enjoy the harvest season, monasteries and culture of the old capital. Then we head west over very remote and high passes into the Upper Dolpo area to explore rarely visited valleys. Over exposed passes and down narrow gorges we finally reach Gemi and follow the trodden trail down to Jomosom. The Complete Everest Base Camp Trek 2020: 12 Days, 130km, 5,380m (Complete Guide) Everest base camp in 12 days? challenge accepted! Everest Base Camp Trek: The Logistics Hiking gear Since Jeff and I were traveling and spent a month in Bali before our Everest basecamp trek, we were wildly unprepared for the trek. We did have base layers and some long sleeves, but not much else! However, it is good to know that you can find everything you need in Katmandu, Lukla or even higher, up to Namche Bazaar at 3,400m - however, it does get a little more expensive as  you go up, of course.  We strongly recommend to rent sleeping bags and down jackets - we rented both of those for about $2.50 per day per person at the Kala Pattar shop in Thamel, Katmandu. We also bought the rest of our hiking gear, including hiking backpacks, hiking boots, gloves, hats, neck warmers, fleece-doubled hiking pants and warm socks at the same shop - the more you buy, the more you can haggle! Aside from finding a good backpack to carry everything on your back, it is an absolute must that you also have an easy access bag, like a bumbag, for all those things you’ll be needing easy access to like your phone, chapstick, tissues, money, permits, snacks, camera, etc. We highlight recommend Eastpak products, and neither of us travel anywhere without their bumbags around our necks. Altitude  It is important to inform yourself and your group members about the effects of altitude and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Early symptoms from 2,500m can include a strong headache, and you need to stop climbing. Start descending immediately if you experience dizziness, shortness of breath while resting, nausea or exhaustion in addition to the headache. AMS can lead to HAPE (high altitude pulmonary oedema) or HACE (high altitude cerebral oedema), which are both life threatening, but usually only occur at very high altitude. Make sure to be aware and to follow the recommendations to avoid AMS, and don’t climb more than 500 meters a day above 3,000 meters. If you are feeling unwell, you can inform the lodge owners, they are very helpful and most can organize a helicopter rescue if needed.  Diamox should not be taken by pregnant women or anyone with liver or kidney issues. Everest Base Camp Trek: The Full Itinerary Day 1 - Katmandu (4,593ft / 1,400m) - Lukla (9,334ft / 2,845m) to Phakding (8,563ft / 2,610m) to Monjo (9,301ft / 2,835m) Trekking time: 3 hours from Lukla to Phakding + 3 hours from Phakding to Monjo. Total 6 hours The trek to Everest base camp starts with a relatively nerve wracking flight, in the smallest plane we’ve ever taken - only 7 seats, and one flight attendant! You will be offered mints and cotton for your ears as the plane takes off from Katmandu and zigzags in between mountains to approach Tenzing–Hillary Airport in Lukla.  Tip: Make sure to seat on the plane’s left side for the best views of the Himalayas!  You will see Lukla’s famous short landing strip with its 11.7% gradient appear in front of you. While it can make you nervous, embrace the feeling of landing on the 500m strip, it will definitely be a good story to tell!  Once you get out of the plane, you will find yourself in the second smallest airport in the world. From there, grab your bag, and let’s head on the trek!  You should normally arrive early morning, before 8.30am, so you can be in Phakding for lunch. Start walking on the path and enjoy the first 2 hours going downhill - how easy, you will think. Beware, as you will have to go up during the last 2 hours of the trek!  Stop in Phakding for lunch halfway, and continue another 3 hours of uphill hiking to Monjo, through beautiful sceneries with prayer wheels and suspended bridges where you can spend your first night. On April 25, 2015, a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. Almost 9,000 people died and more than 22,000 were injured as a result of the deadliest earthquake in the region for 81 years. The earthquake triggered an avalanche on Mount Everest that killed 19 climbers and stranded hundreds more at Everest Base Camp or higher up the mountain. Though the epicenter of the earthquake was roughly 250 km from Mount Everest, the subsequent avalanche wreaked havoc on the mountains. A wall of snow, rock and ice swept through Base Camp when the climbing season was in full swing. Expedition leader, Mingma G, was at Everest Base Camp leading a team of 23 climbers, 25 Sherpas and 10 supporting staff when the avalanche hit. This is his story of survival. This 8 days hike in the Himalaya is one of the best hikes we have ever done. It is part of the famous Snowman trek. Absolutely gorgeous. The first 3,5 minutes is about the temples etc. around the starting point (the guides will take you there). After that it's all about hiking really big mountains, high altitude, culture, a meeting with the prime minister and the Prince of Bhutan, beautiful nature and a lot of fun on the trail. Oh, and did we mention AWESOME views :-) This is part 1 in our 4 part series on Bhutan. Trekking in Nepal. I wanted to squeeze in a short trek around Kathmandu. I did the Kopasi- Balthali- Namobuddha-Dhulikhel trek with Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures. It’s one of the best hikes near Kathmandu and it was such an awesome trekking day in Nepal. It is a popular two day trek around Kathmandu Valley. Our start is located 2 hours east of downtown Kathmandu. Our first day's goal ends in Dhulikhel. I did a shout out to my good friend Nabaraj, who runs his own trekking and tour company. He gave me a customized tour so I could film the valley and village life- I love filming human stories. I wanted epic scenery but also wanted to see village culture and lifestyles. But this trek surpassed my wildest expectations and you’ll see why. Trivia: initially Nabaraj sold me my very first trekking tour a decade ago when he was just 19 years old and worked for another company. I’m honored to be taking one of his Kathmandu trekking tours! My first trek was Bhaktapur to Nagarkot, which is another top trek around Kathmandu as well. Deadliest Hiking Trail in the World | Huashan Mountain

I went hiking the deadliest hiking trail in the world in Huashan mountain near Xi'an, China. It was one of the best experiences I ever had. Morning time around 6am I woke up and a driver picked me up to take me to the base of Huashan mountain. once I got to the base of Mount Hua I got my tickets to get in the mountain and got the cable car which takes around 10 minutes to go up. If you take huashan cable car you skip a couple thousand steps but still once you reach up with the cable car you still have to walk around 3500 steps. Hiking huashan mountain can be one of the deadliest hiking trail in the world because of its safety, once you are going up there is no much protection for you and false step can get you injured very easily in these deadliest hiking trails. The most famous part of huashan mountain in china is the cliffside plank walk. This huashan cliffside plank walk is very scary and famous for how high it is. This cliffside plank walk attracts many tourists and the queue to go to it may take up to 3 or 4 hours. I took a whole day to hike huashan mountain, I made a lot of pictures and videos and I even used my drone there. Hiking mount huashan is a bit scary but at the same time you will love it by the pictures you will be able to get. And this cliffside plank walk is one of the deadliest hiking trails in the world because some people take off their harness so they can have better pictures and once you take it off, one false step and you are gone. 🤍 🤍 🤍 JOURNEY TO THE EVEREST BASE CAMP After trekking for eight days straight for 8 to 10 hours each day, dealing with high altitude sickness, cold weather, and a lack of oxygen, my wife and I finally made it to Everest Base Camp. We've wanted to come here for a long time, but since we don't hike or trek and don't work out often, we've changed our minds. This year, we decided to just do it because the world has just opened and there is no better time than now. The day before we left for Nepal, we weren't sure we could do it and thought about canceling, luckily we managed to persuade ourselves to go ahead, and here we are, after trekking for eight days in a row for 8 to 10 hours each day, enduring high altitude sickness, cold weather, and a lack of oxygen, we finally made it to the Everest Base Camp! We realized that what got us to the base camp wasn't physical. We don't trek or hike much in Singapore, so that wasn't a factor at all. Instead, what got us there was determination, perseverance, willpower and a positive mindset. Thank you once more. Keshav, Giri, and Deep, you three made an incredible team!
